2027-2028 AUDITION information & REGISTRATION FORM

For Company, Apprentice, and Trainee Auditions, in-person auditions are required.

ACB holds open auditions in Los Angeles and New York:

  • Sunday, February 7, 2027 11:00AM in Los Angeles at ACB Studios

  • Sunday, February 14, 2026 11:00AM in New York City at School of American Ballet

  • TO MAKE GREAT WORK, AND TO MAKE A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

    We strive to create a company culture in which the daily process is as rewarding as the result. We are interested in developing long-term relationships with dancers and helping them achieve their fullest potential.

  • ACB offers a 38 week contract with 60-70 performances. The pay rate is $350-$1,000 per week plus physical therapy, and pointe shoes are provided.

    Stylistic & Technical Requirements:
    The “contemporary” in our name denotes the fact that we perform a large number of new ballets; but those works are based on the classical tradition. Therefore, we seek dancers with exemplary classical skills. Balanchine training provides an excellent background for the work we do.

    Audition dates and times:

    • Sunday, February 8, 2026, Los Angeles at ACB Studio (click here for directions)
      Registration 10am, Audition 11am, $25 fee

    • Saturday, February 14, 2026, New York City at School of American Ballet
      Registration 10am, Audition 11am, $25 fee

      • Same-day registration will be available one hour before the audition start time at both our open auditions.

    • If you are unable to attend one of our open audition dates, you may request an appointment for a company class audition.
