From the LA area Karinn grew up dancing, singing, and acting with local companies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Sociology from Boston College and has worked in performing arts administration over the past 15 for organizations including the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, the Washington National Opera, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Boston Ballet, BalletNova (formerly Arlington Center for Dance), and The Arlington Players before moving back to LA to join the ACB team.
Prior to joining the ACB team, Janelle worked at Des Moines Performing Arts (DMPA) for 3 years in her hometown of Des Moines, Iowa. While at DMPA, she coordinated arts education programs, organized public community events, and remains the Artist in Residence for their Family Series Discovery Parties. Janelle holds a BFA in Painting, Art History and Social Practice from the Kansas City Art Institute. In 2018 she received the Social Emotional Arts Certificate from UCLArts & Healing and is a 2019 Cultural Policy ACTIVATE Fellow with Arts for LA.
Public Relations and Outreach
After earning her BA in Communications, Amy spent the majority of her career in Seattle in Corporate Communications and PR for Nordstrom, Inc., while also doing freelance PR work for violinist Hilary Hahn and other musicians. She returned to her native Southern California in 2015 to write and edit for TV and print media before joining ACB.
Ruoxuan is an internationally active costume designer based in LA. She's the current costume designer in residence for ACB and is the recipient of Swarovski Award for Excellence in Costume Design 2014. She received her MFA in Costume Design from UCLA and BA in Costume Design from Wimbledon College of Art, UAL. Notable credits include: The Nutcracker Suite (ACB 2017), Inferno (ACB 2017), The Midsummer Night’s Dream (ISC 2018), The Great Wall Musical (Drama Center Theatre Singapore 2017), Judgment of Nuremberg (LATW 2016), Distant Vision (American Zoetrope 2016), Spring Awakening (NoHo Arts Center 2015). www.ruoxuanli.com
